Over the past 15 years, Tina has deepened a career in K-12 education leadership, STEM curriculum strategy, consulting, and strategic growth with organizations like Kumon, C2 Education, and most recently she leads the international strategic growth for the leading education technology, BrainPOP. She began her career as a chemical engineer and her Kenan-Flagler Business School experience was instrumental in her taking these particular skills to begin a journey in strategic operations consulting with Deloitte. With a proven track record of strategic leadership and decision-making, Tina brings her expertise with for-profit organizations like Motorola, Disney and Deloitte Consulting and nonprofits like Boys & Girls Clubs of America and STEM Leadership Academy to 100 Women.

Tina Shah loved her experience at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School! She is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in engineering and strategy consulting. Welcome, welcome to another one of our newest members of 100 Women at UNC Kenan-Flagler, Tina Shah (MBA ‘00)!

If you can spare a dollar or two or share this, I would be grateful. And it's a way for me to make peace with her physical absence by honoring her amazing ability to support young women (like me, my whole life) in their education or entrepreneurial endeavors. It is a small way of keeping her spirit, energy and legacy alive.

So, I have launched the Leela Shah Memorial Scholarship Fund. After all, I am my mother's daughter and she would want me to make meaning of all of this. But now a year later, I am stronger, more resilient. The ground under me caved in for a year.Diwali (Indian New Years), birthdays, and oh man, Mothers' Day were a constant reminder that she was no longer.įor a year, I masked my pain, crying behind closed doors, secretly experiencing anxiety attacks while the world continued on. She went in for a stent procedure and never came back. Last year in June, my mother, my best friend, passed away unexpectedly. I rarely post and on top of that, I rarely post anything personal but.this one.
